International Students Under 'New Rules' Malaysian Immigration

"I want to go home NOW !!!" // "I want to come back to Malaysia for my studies" // "I want my passport back !!" // "What if police catch me?" // "I want vacation please!!".

Yes, those are the situation nowadays for international especially students. Since Malaysian Immigration Department change their policy about visa apply and renewal, 'The strangers' have a problem about this. I'm not sure if also happening with the workers. As I know as students here, I had this problem. You can refer further information about EMGS and so forth from Yahoo and others.

I deferred from my studies around May 2013 and supposed to be here in Malaysia on September 2013. I did not know about this new 'rules', and if so, I won't take differ studies. My visa expired around 1st week of May, so I had no problem when I left this country. Then, on third week of August, I emailed International Office in campus to inform that I'm ready to get back there. You see down here.

Then he explained to me clearly about several documents should I give to them to process my new visa approval letter.

After I sent the documents needed, then I had to wait further notice from them. Wait and Wait. Wait and Wait again. Until I almost desperate, but I won't do that for my future studies. I searched and kept searching the information from any website in internet. I was thinking I'm in the gambling circumstances because I may win or lose my visa. I did read about EMGS and asked them, but then no reply. Then, I went directly email to my ICT dean to clarify my problem.

In this time, only two words that I always hear and see which are "wait and patient" because nothing else should I do. He was trying to make me settle down and keep in trust to the Registry Department. Thank you and I did that. My new semester started on September but I was stuck for several months until "little light" came with good news from International Office. Yeee my visa had done !!! \w/

What I learn from this situation

Don't desperate easily !!

In my opinion is very 'huge', I can't explain more about education. Education is everywhere. Education is how to educate people not only in knowledge but also in ethical and behaviour in daily life. Even some educated people act un-behave for them-self. I will fight for my rights to get the education. Don't desperate easily for anything which can break my future. Education is my weapon and my bullets to 'attack' you and get battle on 'war'. For those who are having the same problem, don't worry as long as you have reason for you stay here to studies, it wont take long.

Keep in trust

Trusting people are not easy as I drink water from the bottle. So what to do in this situation if I don't trust them at all to solve my problem, and I know they are professional, I thankfully for that. Therefore, there is limitation to trust people. I will not 'eat' any information from them before it's clear explained and I keep in touch with them to get the information further. Don't hear any gossip from untrusted party. Lastly, I would like to say 'Thank you very much for any guidance and help so far'.

Holiday : Langkawi Island

Hi, guys. How are you ?? Today, I'd like to post about Langkawi. I've been there with all my best friends, it was about spending 3 days 2 nights in Langkawi. Why did we choose Langkawi?? We chose Langkawi because it's near with the place where we were living. We live in Alor Setar, Kedah (temporary as student).

Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah (Malay: Langkawi Permata Kedah) is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On July 15, 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration. By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Pulau Langkawi with a population of some 64,792, the only other inhabited island being nearby Pulau Tuba. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.

How we get there?

There are two ways to go to Langkawi Island. First, we can go directly from Alor Setar which is from Kuala Kedah Jetty and we can go a little north from Alor Setar to Kuala Perlis. But we went to Langkawi via Kuala Kedah Jetty because it is more convenient as we are living in Alor Setar. I think, the length of time to get to Langkawi is around 2 hours by speedboat. Dont be afraid, the boat is 99% safe and there is life jackets available for each person if something happen. :D

What are the tourism objects around there?

We were going to Langkawi Cable Car once we arrived in Langkawi by rental car. There was a lot of rent cars available, you could go everywhere as you like; customizing your budget. That time we booked the hotel in Pantai Cenang (Cenang Beach), the hotel was very near with the sea shore. I could step the sand once I was out from room, even you could hear the wave from your room. I loved the wave sounds at night. Thats beautiful !!

FYI, Langkawi is free-taxes so you can buy cheaper stuffs here than any other place in Malaysia. The most famous one in Langkawi is chocolate. Don't forget to remind some money to buy chocolates in Langkawi. "Your journey in Langkawi is not awesome yet, before you buy a chocolates" :D.

See you in next trip. You can leave some comments if you need information.
BON VOYAGE !!

My Second Journey to Get The Education

First Moment: Differed from Studies

I had differed from my studies about ten months because I had health problem. I got typhoid illness when I was at campus. That time was difficult circumstances for me and my campus was in the dark ages. A lot of tragedies were happened here that time. I did not want to blame others, maybe this was my time to get back with family until the situation settled. I planned to get back to Malaysia on September but I had  application problem with my visa.

Visa Application: EMGS has new rules to implement

I remembered when International Office from my campus emailed me about my new offer letter states that "your defer is over, you need to re-offer your visa before you enter Malaysia" from Mr. So Eu Jin, I felt very happy and I would like to say thank you to registry office that they allowed me to continue my studies. Especially to Mr. Bahaudin and Mr. So Eu Jin from International Office who work for visa and any other stuffs about international students. They did so professional even sometimes I ask so many questions that may bother their mind, I'd like to say "I'm sorry very much".

That was my first time hearing EMGS from them. EMGS is Education Malaysia Global Services. (CMIIW) The function of EMGS is to make "Applying and Studying in Malaysia" easier for International Students, but in reality they creates a long que of application of students who want to renew or apply their visa before it passes to immigration department. I supposed to be in campus on September but I got my visa on the last day of November. So, I have to wait whether they accept me or not. Finally, I got my visa in the evening. :)
